The Book Launch
of Kit DeCanti's
RETURN TO COBB MOUNTAIN
(sequel to Secret On Cobb Mountain)
was held on May 28th in Lakeport, CA at the 5th Street Yacht Club and was a total success!
Guests were greeted at the gate by a 7 foot ship mural imprinted with " Welcome To Kit DeCanti's Book Launch" which set the theme of the party.
Welcoming the guests as they entered the Yacht Club was a lively and humorous musical video clip inviting them to a Sea Cruise which was being played on a wall mounted large screen TV.
The cartoon video clip was created by Kit DeCanti who also owns Video By KitDee production company.
The already lovely Yacht Club had been even more enhanced with additional nautical accents and sea shells. The tables were covered with sea blue spreads with glittery center pieces surrounded by tiny star fish.
But the buffet table was the real center piece which was decked out with layered skirt of twinkle lights, water print and fish nets.
The buffet was set with a colorful light show surrounded by Shrimp Cocktail, Frittata, Tortellini & Salami Shish-Ka-Bobs and other delicious Hors d' oeurvres prepared by Kit DeCanti and a handful of close friends, all were recipes from Kit's Lazy Cook book Did I mention the home made (by Kit- from her own recipe which can also be found in her Lazy Cook Book) biscotti, marshmallows, and locally grown strawberries dipped in chocolate? To die for!
The event was emceed by Sue Garcia, a close friend of Kit's who was both funny and sentimental in her commentaries. After sharing with the guests Kit's background and reading some reviews of the new release she introduced DeCanti which who was met with loud applause.
The guests listened spell bound when Kit read the prologue to her new book-which left them hanging and obviously wanting more! Most of the copies on hand of the new release were sold! Also on display were copies of DeCanti's other books which were grabbed up by the guests as quickly as they could be put out.

Kit just had her FIRST book signing at Catfish Books, on June 12th which was a great success!!
She has 2 more book signings scheduled for:
July 11th 2-4 at Wild About Books Clearlake
July 19th 3-5 Catfish Books Lakeport
